Job Description

The Marylebone Project provides a life-changing service for homeless women and is the largest and longest-running centre of its kind in London and the UK with over 90 years of experience.

Earlier this year The Marylebone Project was the winner of the Homeless Link Excellence in Supported Housing.

As a Key Project Leader within Church Army, this role will work closely with other key project leaders in developing a strategy for the project alligned with the strategy, vision and values of Church Army. The Executive Manager will also need to network with external stakeholders and groups to share about the work of Church Army and the Marylebone Project as a way of raising profile and valuable prayer and financial support.

Responsibilities

1. To develop and manage the Marylebone Project for Homeless Women as a centre of excellence and good practice.

2. Provide line management and leadership to the staff within the Project.

3. To be pro-active in recommending ideas for the development of the Project to the Board of Management and be accountable to the Homeless Projects Manager and Board.

4. Develop and maintain good professional relationships with all Partners and Stakeholders.

5. To keep the Church Army values and vision at the forefront of the Project and ensure that there is a sound governance infrastructure to support the Project in its aims and objectives.

6. Together with other members of the Management Team, take responsibility for the management of the Project.

7. Develop the Marylebone Project Strategy in line with Church Army’s vision, values and strategy and raise the profile of the Marylebone Project for financial and prayerful support.

Qualifications

  • Housing management and standard setting and compliance within the environment.
  • Setting and influencing strategy.
  • Minimum 3 years experience of leading multiple teams including proven experience of managing staff supervision and HR issues.
  • Passionate about helping vulnerable women.

This role has an occupational requirement for the post holder to have an active Christian faith, demonstrated by involvement in a local church and in agreement with our vision and values.
