Job Description
This role is open to remote working within the UK. Successful candidates will be required to travel to their closest UNiDAYS campus (London or Nottingham) on occasion. Please note this role is being offered on a 12-month contract with the possibility of going permanent.
The role in a nutshell
This new role plays a key part in assessing the strategic progress of the company by ensuring accurate reporting and insightful analysis of revenue. The company works with 800+ partners, receiving their revenue information from an array of different sources, and the Commercial Finance team is central to turning this high volume of data into a meaningful view on performance.
Day to day responsibilities
- Operate monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, working with Commercial and Commercial Operations teams to ensure reported revenue accurately reflects business activity
- Assist the Commercial FD and Finance Business Partner to produce the monthly and quarterly Group Revenue packs
- Pro-actively suggest ways to improve the integrity and efficiency of revenue reporting, and to increase the level of insight it provides to the business
- Help to produce metrics and revenue tracking for the Weekly Business Review meeting
- Calculation of Commercial team quarterly commission payments
- Other ad hoc financial analysis as required by the Commercial FD
What we need from you
- Applied advanced spreadsheet skills
- Demonstrated a high degree of problem-solving and analytical ability: an understanding of how data can be used to solve a problem, and how best to structure, present and articulate the solution (usually in a spreadsheet format)
- Tasks where you have shown exceptional attention to detail
